2nd Annual
"Earth Day Detectives" Internet Project! -- This second
edition of this project focuses on water conservation under the auspices of students at
Kyrene de la Paloma Elementary School in Chandler, Arizona; the idea is to engage classes
around the world in purposeful collection of data on water usage and make use of the
statistics in lessons created by the teachers sponsoring the project - no hassles and a
big pay-off to boot!
The Earth Day Groceries Project,
1999! -- Interesting campaign which gets students to decorate brown
supermarket bags so that they can be returned to the stores for bagging on Earth Day to
promote environmental awareness in home towns across the country.
